Tip Tuesday #5 – Quick Chocolate Tempering

Tempering chocolate can be challenging at times for the seasoned bakers yet the silky smooth, shiny melted chocolate that sets right without any dull finish can be rewarding. How hard can it be to melt chocolate for your baking recipes? Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for few minutes (depending on the quantity), and melt. Wasn’t that simple? However, when you want to dip your homemade candy/ truffles in melted chocolate and want them to set with a smooth, glossy finish with a perfect snap when you bite into it, then tempering is the way to go about it.

I ventured into the food blogging world with not much knowledge on the technicalities side and has been a huge learning curve. The most excited part of this process (or may be all types of blogging for that matter) are the wonderful blogging friends I’ve made in this amazing community. This Tuesday, I’m excited to share one of my blogger friend’s recent post on tempering chocolate.
