Black Forest Cake Overnight Oats

A cool, refreshing breakfast on a hot day! Everyone's favorite Black forest cake, but much healthier in the form of overnight oats. Made with old fashion oats, chia seeds, cocoa powder, maple syrup, greek yogurt and fresh cherries, this black forest cake overnight oats is easy yet impressive.

Ingredients

Chocolate Oats

Maple yogurt

  • 2 tablespoon plain greek yogurt
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup

Additional ingredients

  • 4 to 6 cherries (Bing), pitted and sliced

Instructions

Make Chocolate Oats

  • Add all chocolate oats ingredients together into a mason jar and stir well. Refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days.

Just before serving,

  • Stir yogurt and maple syrup together to make maple yogurt (this can be made ahead and refrigerated as well)
    Stir refrigerated chocolate oats lightly, top with maple yogurt and then sliced cherries. Eat immediately, trying to get all three layers in every bite.

Oats and yogurt can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. 
For the "knock your sock off" Black forest cake flavor, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to use Bing cherries and not other varieties.
