Instructions

  • Add all ingredients into a large bowl and toss well, until well combined.
Tip: Make sure that the seasonings coats all the nooks and crannies of the broccoli florets.
  • Pre heat the air fryer for 7 minutes at 390°F. When hot, add 1 to 2 tablespoons water into the bottom of the air fryer basket and place broccoli florets on the grill plate, spreading to a single layer.
Tip: There's a significant loss in moisture on the exterior buds and they begin browning at an exponential state, before the inside cooks. The steam roasting makes up for the moisture loss, keeping the buds tender and moist, even when subjected to high heat.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, giving them a good shake half way, until it turns a vibrant green with some char on the outside.
Tip: Broccoli florets in the perimeter tends to brown sooner than the middle. So, give them a shake halfway through cooking.

Notes

Floret size – Cut florets into medium size florets (about 1 and ½ inches) and make sure that all florets are the same size which ensures them even cooking.
Cooking less broccoli:
380°F for 5 cups broccoli
370°F for 4 cups broccoli
