These Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms are filled with a super easy yet flavorful cheesy cream cheese filling loaded with herbs, spices, and green onions. They are ready in about 20 minutes, including cook time!

  • 11 to 12 White or Baby bella mushrooms medium size

Instructions

  • Make filling - Add room temperature cream cheese in a medium bowl and stir with a spoon to loosen it up. Add all remaining filling ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Prepare mushrooms - Clean mushrooms and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Gently twist the stem to remove from the mushroom caps.
  • Stuff mushrooms - Using two small spoons, fill stuffing into the mushroom cavity, packing well inside and on top. Make sure to use all the filling!
  • Pre heat air fryer at 385°F for 8 minutes. Place stuffed mushrooms in the basket, spacing them evenly and closing gently to ensure they stay stuffing side up.
  • Cook 6 to 8 minutes, until the topping is golden brown in color.
    Tip: Smaller mushrooms may be ready in 6 to 7 minutes, while medium-sized ones typically require 7 to 8 minutes for optimal cooking.

Notes

Ensure to leave cream cheese at room temperature for several hours before making  stuffed mushrooms.
I opt for a shredded Mexican blend, consisting of a combination of Monterey Jack, cheddar, Asadero, and Queso quesadilla cheeses. If the Mexican blend isn’t available, substitute it with a half-cup mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
Use 3 tablespoons of regular breadcrumbs instead of panko.
This recipe yields a small batch, but it's effortless to double or triple for a larger gathering. Ensure to air fry in multiple batches, avoiding overcrowding the air fryer for the best results.
I used the Instant Vortex 6-quart air fryer for this recipe. As air fryers can vary in heating mechanisms, I suggest checking the progress around the 6-minute mark to ensure they cook evenly and to your desired level of doneness.
