Instructions

  • Season the broccoli. Add the broccoli to a large bowl and add all remaining ingredients. Toss thoroughly until evenly combined. Make sure the seasonings coat every nook and cranny of the broccoli florets.
  • Air fry. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. Once hot, add 1–2 tablespoons of water to the bottom of the basket, then arrange the broccoli florets in a single layer on the grill plate. This steam-roasting method keeps the buds tender while preventing them from burning.
  • Finish cooking. Cook for 5–7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the broccoli turns a vibrant green with lightly charred edges.

Notes

Even Florets: Cut fresh broccoli into medium florets (about 1½ inches) and keep them uniform in size. This ensures they cook evenly.
Guide to air frying less broccoli: 380°F for 5 cups broccoli and 370°F for 4 cups broccoli florets.
Pat Dry: After rinsing, make sure the florets are dry. This allows oil and seasonings to stick properly — otherwise, the oil will bead off.
