Easy Oatmeal Waffles

These Oatmeal Waffles turn everyday rolled oats into light, fluffy waffles with perfectly crisp, golden edges—all in a blender. There’s no flour, butter, or banana, and you don’t even need to make oat flour separately.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Blend. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until very smooth (2 to 3 minutes). Let the batter rest while you preheat your waffle iron.
👉 This gives the ground oats a little time to absorb the liquid and helps the batter thicken slightly.
  • Cook. Lightly grease your waffle maker with cooking spray. Pour about ⅓ cup of batter into each waffle plate and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions, until golden and crisp.
👉 Give the batter a quick stir and check the consistency before each batch. Oats continue to absorb liquid as the batter sits, so it will naturally thicken. If needed, stir in a little water until it’s thick but still easily pourable before cooking.

Notes

I used Vitamix to make these oatmeal waffles. Other home blenders like Nutri bullet, Ninja or Hamilton beach will also work.
Blend batter until very smooth.
Make sure the waffle iron is pre heated before pouring the batter.
Grease the waffle iron. This ensures that the waffles does not stick to the iron. I like to spray mine with non-stick cooking spray.
Adjust batter consistency. Oats absorbs moisture and the batter tends to thicken as it sits. Mix in a splash of water if needed to loosen up the batter before each batch.
