Thoroughly pat dry chicken wings with paper towels and place in a mixing bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Toss until evenly combined.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F. Place the wings in the basket, spacing evenly and air fry for 8 minutes.
Flip the wings and air fry another 8 minutes for a total of 16 minutes, or until they are crisp and golden brown on the outside.
Garlic butter sauce
While the wings are cooking, prepare the garlic butter sauce.
Add the chopped garlic and butter in a small saucepan and cook over low-med heat, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant and begins to golden in color.
Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Mix in the grated parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, hot sauce and salt.
Once the wings are done cooking, immediately toss them in the garlic parmesan mixture, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Serve hot and enjoy!Tip: This garlic parmesan sauce is the perfect accompaniment for dipping.
Notes
Pat dry - Patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels will help them in crisping up.Do not over lap - Spread out wings so that they are in a single layer. I used 6-quart Instant vortex air fryer and was able to cook 1 ½ pounds wings in a single layer.Double batch - Air fry in two batches if doubling the recipe
