Cranberry Orange Rolls

Quick and Easy Cranberry Orange Rolls — King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls are soaked in sweet orange butter, filled with fresh cranberries, baked, and topped with an orange glaze icing. They’re incredibly delicious for how little effort they take and perfect for holiday brunch, potlucks, or a festive sweet treat with family and friends

  • Prep. Pre heat oven to 350° F. Lightly spray a baking pan (large enough to fit one package of Hawaiian rolls) with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Cut Rolls. Place the Hawaiian rolls on the counter. Make a 1-inch deep cut across the top of each roll, then rotate the roll 90 degrees and make a second 1-inch deep cut. Transfer the rolls to the prepared baking pan.

  • Make Orange Butter. Add the melted butter (saving about 1 teaspoon for the glaze), 1 tablespoon of white granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of orange juice, and the orange zest to a small bowl. Stir until everything is well combined.
  • Fill Rolls. Using a small spoon, drizzle the orange butter into the cuts and over the tops of the rolls, making sure it’s evenly distributed. Sprinkle the cranberries on top, tucking most of them into the openings.
  • Bake. Bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, until the top looks golden brown.  Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool slightly.
  • Glaze. While the rolls cool, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, 1 tablespoon of orange juice, and the reserved melted butter (re-melt if needed) until smooth. Drizzle the icing evenly over the warm rolls and let them rest for about 10 minutes so the glaze can soak in. Enjoy!
