These Halloween Clementines are a fun, easy, no-bake treat that kids will love to make and eat! They’re creative, quick Halloween fruit idea, perfect for classroom parties or spooky snacks. Use clementines, mandarins, or cuties!
Rinse clementines and towel dry very well to remove all moisture and remove any attached stem ends.
Melt chocolate chips in microwave, until smooth and melted, stirring every 15 seconds.
Transfer about 3 tablespoons into a small bowl, and then the remaining into a small piping bag or zipper bag and snip off the corner.
Using the toothpick, place a small dab of melted chocolate on the back of candy eye balls and stick two eyes on each clementine to make a face (refer photos/video if needed).
Make hats - Using the piping bag, squeeze some melted chocolate in the middle of an Oreo cookie and gently place a Hershey's Kiss on top, pressing slightly so that the excess chocolate comes around the edges, to make a decorative pattern. Squeeze more melted chocolate on top of the Clementine and press the Oreo hat, on top, pressing gently to adhere.
Repeat the process to make the remaining clementines. Let the chocolate set before serving.
Notes
Select flatter-shaped oranges that will sit securely without wobbling.Any variety of chocolate chips like dark, milk or white chocolate will work.Let the fruits sit for a minimum of two hours, giving the chocolate enough time to solidify before serving.
