Slow Cooker Mashed Sweet Potatoes are the easiest side dish for Thanksgiving or a holiday meal! Just 4 ingredients for creamy, perfect sweet potatoes in the crockpot! Vegetarian, gluten-free, and ideal for busy holiday cooking — just dump, cook, and mash.
Spray the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray.
Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, cut into ½-inch thick slices and add into the slow cooker.
Add the sliced butter, salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons water and give a stir.
Cover and cook 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
Add milk, brown sugar and mash well using a potato masher. Give them a taste and add more salt or brown sugar, if desired.
