Instructions

  • Mix oats. Combine all the ingredients listed under “for the oats” in a large mason jar or container and stir until well combined.
  • Mix chocolate coating. Combine all the ingredients listed under “for the chocolate coating” in a small bowl and mix until smooth and slightly thick but still pourable. Make sure the coconut oil is slightly warm before mixing. If the mixture is too thick, add a small splash of maple syrup or coconut oil.
    👉 If the coconut oil isn’t warm, the mixture may thicken. Melt it in the microwave just before mixing.
  • Pour and chill. Gently pour a thin layer over the oat mixture. Swirl the jar slightly to help the coating spread into an even layer. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 6 hours.
  • To eat. Use a spoon to gently tap and break the chocolate shell, then scoop up some of the chocolate and the creamy oats underneath—just like eating a chocolate-covered strawberry.
