Why you’ll love this mango lemonade recipe?

This fresh mango lemonade is sunshine in a glass. It's bright, vibrant, and packed with sweet mango flavor balanced by just the right amount of citrusy tang. Whether you're relaxing on the porch, hosting a backyard BBQ, packing a picnic, or simply looking for a fun twist on classic lemonade, this drink fits right in.
One of my favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is to make - just blend everything together and pour it over ice. That's it! It's a small-batch recipe that's perfect for a family, but it's also easy to double or even quadruple when you're serving a crowd.
Kids absolutely love it, making it a great non-alcoholic drink for summer gatherings. If you're making it for adults, feel free to add a splash of rum, tequila, or vodka for a refreshing tropical cocktail. Either way, it's the kind of drink you'll find yourself making all summer long.

Ingredients
Scroll down to the recipe card below for full information on ingredients and amounts.

- Mango - Select yellow or red colored fruits with no visible signs of green. It should feel very soft when pressed . A sweet fruit will not only make a tasty drink but also require less sugar.
- Lemons - Fresh lemons are essential for this recipe to get that great fresh squeezed taste.
- Sugar - White granulated sugar. Feel free to use raw honey, agave or coconut sugar are all great alternatives.
Tips for Success
- Mangoes – Select sweet, ripe ones that are not fibrous.
- Sugar - Adjust depending on the sweetness of your mangoes.
- Best blender to use - We have had success with Vitamix or Nutri bullet for this recipe.
- Make ahead - You can make it ahead and chill in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Using frozen mangoes - I recommend using fresh, ripe mangoes for the best flavor. They are naturally sweeter, juicier, and produce a much brighter-tasting lemonade than frozen mangoes. If you use frozen mangoes, you may need to add a little extra sugar.
Substitutions & Variations
- Limeade - Replace lemon juice with lime juice for a true tropical twist!
- Sparkling - Use plain soda water instead of water.
- Spiked - Add a dash of rum, tequila, vodka or gin.
- Ginger - Blend a thin slice of fresh ginger along with the mango lemonade drink.
- Frosted - Just as this vanilla frosted lemonade is made by combining regular lemonade with vanilla ice cream, try experimenting by combining this lemonade with mango ice cream or sorbet.

Frequently Asked Questions
The flavor of bottled juice is not like freshly squeezed. Plus, it often has additives and preservatives. So, go for the fresh lemon juice.
The easiest way is to chill the mango lemonade before serving so you don't need as much ice. If you're making it ahead, store it in the refrigerator until cold, then pour it over a small amount of ice when serving.
For parties, I like to freeze some of the lemonade in ice cube trays and use those instead of regular ice cubes. As they melt, they add more lemonade rather than watering down the drink. You can also freeze mango chunks and use them as "ice cubes" to keep this yellow drink cold while adding even more flavor.
You can but we recommend using fresh ones. The frozen variety are generally not as ripe and sweet and the fresh fruits available in the peak of summer season.
