👩‍🍳 Check for doneness! Be sure to always check for doneness using a thermometer by inserting it into the thickest part of the wing , it should read 165°F if it is fully cooked.

    Baking instructions

Don’t have an air fryer? No worries! You can make these garlic parmesan wings in a traditional oven, though it will take a bit longer to achieve that crispy texture.

Simply preheat your oven to 400˚F and bake for about 30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through baking.

    Recipe tips

    • Cooking temperature - As I mention in the air fryer chicken recipes blog post, the wings are cooked at a fairly high temperature to achieve a crispy skin and a juicy interior.
    • Pat dry - Patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels will help them in crisping up.
    • Do not over lap - Spread out wings so that they are in a single layer. I used 6-quart Instant vortex air fryer and was able to cook 1 ½ pounds wings in a single layer.
    • Double batch - Air fry in two batches if doubling the recipe.

What to serve with garlic parmesan wings?

They’re packed with flavor and far exceed anything you'll find at a restaurant. However, if you love dipping sauces, the garlic parmesan sauce is the perfect accompaniment to take them to the next level!

For a classic approach, serve them with celery and creamy blue cheese or ranch dressing.

They make an ideal appetizer or snack for a party, game day or an intimate gathering or just a snack at home. I also sometimes make a simple meal served alongside air fryer baby potatoes, crisp salad and garlic fried rice!
