    Instructions

    • Pre heat oven to 350° F. Lightly spray a baking pan (large enough to fit one package of Hawaiian rolls) with cooking spray and set aside.
    • Cut each roll about 1 inch deep in one direction, then rotate 90 degrees and cut in the opposite direction (see photos for reference). Transfer the rolls into the prepared baking pan.
    • Mix melted butter, sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
    • Using a small spoon, evenly drizzle the cinnamon butter into each cut opening until all the butter is used. Bake for about 15 to 19 minutes, until the top looks golden brown.
    • Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. While still warm, top the icing over the rolls, then let it set for a few minutes before serving.
Use as much or as little icing as desired. For a more indulgent touch, feel free to cover the entire top with icing, just like a classic cinnamon roll.
To make icing - Whisk together the confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and milk until you achieve a very thick consistency. Add more milk as needed to reach the desired texture.
