    Spooky Halloween Pizza Recipe that will impress your kids! Made with naan breads, these are made with skull cheese and olive spiders in oven or air fryer.

    Halloween Pizza Recipe

    We are going strong this Halloween season with yet another recipe that is sure to impress your kids!

    Who doesn't love a pizza? A creepy cheesy pizza or regular air fryer pizza made with homemade pizza dough was a huge Halloween favorite!!

    If are familiar around here, then you know that we love coming up with creative versions. Some of our such creative twists on pizza are this Pasta Pizza made with leftover pasta or Pizza Pancakes.

    WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS IDEA?

    1. Quick & Easy - We made it very easily using naan breads instead of pizza dough. It cooks fast and served in under 10 minutes. Perfect for your pizza party!
    2. Impressive - Cheese skulls and olive spiders are so easy and fun to make.
    3. Under 5 ingredients - This is a basic pizza recipe that uses few ingredients.
    4. Customizable - This is a basic recipe, feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings.

    Ingredients

    1. Naan flat breads - We used store bought naan flat breads.
    2. Tomato sauce - Use your favorite pizza sauce (we used Prego, tomato basil & garlic).
    3. Mozzarella cheese - Sliced mozzarella cheese.
    4. Olives - Use large black olives.
    5. Olive oil - Just for toasting the naans

    Expert tips

    • Use extra large black olives and not small size.
    • Use your favorite pizza toppings - This is a basic pizza recipe for kids. You can use your favorite pizza toppings.
    • Naan size - Use mini naans to make mini pizzas
    • Pizza dough - Use regular pizza dough instead of naan.

    TOPPING IDEAS

    Few delicious topping ideas for your Halloween themed pizza -

    • green bell pepper

    • red pepper flakes
    • parmesan cheese

    Method

    Make Skull Cheese

    Using a skull cookie cutter, cut skull shapes from mozzarella cheese slices. Make two holes for eyes using the big round end of the piping tip and mouth using the pointed end (refer video).

    Bake

    1. Place naan bread on a cookie sheet and brush olive oil all over the naan. Bake for about 2 minutes and then remove.
    2. Spread tomato sauce all over the naan, top with cheese skulls (cut skulls to fit on the naan). Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, making sure that cheese doesn't melt too much.
    3. Remove from oven, top with olive spiders and minced basil leaves.

    Make Olive Spiders

    Cut an olive vertically in half and place a half on the pizza. Cut the tip of the remaining half to make the head. Cut legs from remaining olive and place around the body.

    HOW TO MAKE IN AIR FRYER?

    1. Pre heat air fryer to 350°F for 2 to 4 minutes.
    2. Brush naan bread with olive oil, season with salt and place in the air fryer basket, cook until golden in color.
    3. Open basket, spread naan with sauce, cheese skulls and continue baking at 370°F for another 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
    4. Remove pizza top with olive spiders and fresh basil.

    How to Serve?

    Serve hot alongside any of the following pairings to make a complete meal:

    Ingredients

    • 1 Naan flat bread
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • ¼ cup pizza sauce
    • 2 to 4 slices mozzarella slices
    • 2 very large black olives
    • Fresh basil leaves minced

    Items used

    • Skull cookie cutter
    • Piping tip

    Instructions

    • Make Skull cheese - Using a skull cookie cutter, cut skull shapes from the mozzarella slices. Make two holes for eyes using the big round end of the piping tip and mouth using the pointed end (refer video).
    • Pre heat oven to 400°F.
    • Place naan bread on a cookie sheet, brush olive oil all over the naan and season with salt. Bake for about 2 minutes and then remove.
    • Spread sauce all over the naan, top with cheese skulls (cut skulls to fit on the naan). Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, making sure that cheese doesn't melt too much.
      Tip - For a crispier crust, broil for the last couple of minutes.
    • Remove pizza from oven, top with olive spiders and minced basil leaves.
    • Make Olive spiders - Cut an olive vertically in half and place a half on the pizza. Cut the tip of the remaining half to make the head. Cut 8 legs from remaining olive and place around the body. Repeat process to make as many spiders as you need.

    Notes

    Use extra large black olives.

    3. Open basket, spread naan with sauce, cheese skulls and continue baking at 370°F for another 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
    4. Remove pizza top with olive spiders and fresh basil.
